Surprising People

Early this week, many of my friends from BYU traveled back to Provo to continue their schooling during Winter Semester. Most arrived on campus before Tuesday Morning, so that they could begin attending classes that day. However, one of my dear friends from my ward was not able to join us for the first week of classes due to a bout of pneumonia which her doctor told her could infect everyone on the plane by the time the flight was over should she fly. Because of this she had to wait until Friday Afternoon to reenter the Provo Bubble.
One night, before she flew in, I was killing time at her roommates' apartment, watching silly GloZell videos with them and their FHE brothers. We started talking about when she would get to Provo, and decided that we would all go up to the airport and surprise her. A plan was in motion.
This afternoon, we all piled into the famous "creeper van" and headed up to Salt Lake. We headed up to the airport terminal, dropped one friend (who was supposed to be the only one there to pick up our friend) off, circled through the terminal until she texted us "Get Ready", then jumped out and unrolled a sign welcoming our friend home.
I remember seeing her walk out. Her face just lit up when she saw us standing there. It was such an awesome thing to see. She told us, "This is the best day ever". I'm so glad I was able to help make her day amazing.
