Letters from Missionaries

Getting letters is something to celebrate. The fact that someone took the time and energy to sit down, take out a pen, and compose a message especially for you is such a compliment! I love it when people write me letters, no matter who or where from. But the best letters so far? Definitely letters from missionaries.

I have many friends who left after fall term to go on missions. I miss them all a lot, but I know that I can still keep in touch with them through letter-writing. Letters are really the way that missionaries stay connected with the non-mission world--all the news from family and friends that they receive is through letters! I'm glad that I can keep my friends informed about life at the Y.

Today, I got a letter from one of my friends who is currently in the MTC. I had written him a poem telling him about how things were going and asking how MTC life was. To my great delight, he sent me a poem in response! It made my day. It's a letter that I'm going to keep for a long time, if not forever--It was pretty much the greatest thing ever! Letters from Missionaries = LOVE.
